Supply chain risks
Fronesys provides a systematic assessment of the sustainability risks an organisation faces in its supply chain in order to manage and mitigate their impact.
It is not possible for a company of any scale to engage with each supplier in its supply chain to ensure that they are meeting appropriate standards of environmental and social performance. Instead, it is necessary first to use a risk-based approach to figure out which companies present the higher risks and then engage with those posing the highest risk.
Fronesys provides a systematic review, built around an innovative framework that identifies the sustainability risks the company faces in its supply chain. The risk review provides the following benefits:
- An objective and quantifiable basis for supplier engagement – takes the guesswork out of figuring out who are your riskiest suppliers
- Uses established metrics in constructing a comprehensive risk analysis, including the use of financial, social and environmental metrics
- A platform for managing and mitigating the most significant risks in the supply chain
- A different perspective in identifying inefficiencies in the business, and ways to de-risk the business model
Risk Assessments
We start with a Basic Risk Assessment feeding financial data from the purchasing department into the Fronesys framework. We can then undertake a more Comprehensive Risk Assessment combining financial data as well as directly obtained data from suppliers through an engagement process.
We carry out the assessment of environmental risks alongside our partner Trucost, using its input-output model engine for analysis.
